First, I will start with the benefits of IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback. Here is a quote from Linda Edwards related to improvements post-concussion based on a recent Veterans’ Administration study. In fact, client reports quick and significant improvement in a few session with sustained results in 12-20 sessions.
“…about 85% of people receiving an IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback session report a positive response within the first three sessions, with some as soon as the first session.” [ii]
IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback is based on the concept of neuroplasticity. The brain can change and when using IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback that change occurs through exposure to a low intensity, or microcurrent, resulting in the brain achieving increased relaxation and allowing disentrainment of stuck, undesirable neurol pathways and creating the environment in the brain where new neurol pathways can be established. For example, recent research related to mild TBI’s supports improvements related to concussions. “Mild TBI participants showed significantly reduced abnormal slow-waves and significant reduction of symptom scores after the treatment.”
About Neurofeedback Sessions
The process is simple and the sessions are not very long. Generally, a session lasts from 30 to 40 minutes with the treatment itself lasting about 15-20 minutes. Generally, patients report not feeling anything during the session, and are asked to track the changes in a 24-hour post session report.
Mild traumatic brain injuries are everywhere. Veterans and the public struggle with behavior changes, emotional changes, and cognitive changes post concussions. These changes can be related to PTSD. IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback has been shown to be helpful with both Mild Traumatic Brain injuries and PTSD and so many other things.
The Effectiveness of IASIS
Why IASIS? So many reasons and here’s a chart that explains the reasons why IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback is helpful for so many including those suffering from concussions. IASIS MCNF is a drug free approach with no contraindications, or something that would make IASIS MCNF risky or something to avoid.
